Theoretically anyone could grab a video camera and try to film your horses, but as a top professional equine business you need the best professional videography that can capture the grace, artistry and power of your horses.
At Horsefly Films we pride ourselves on being the best in the business. Together we have over twenty years in the Hollywood film industry as professional award-winning filmmakers, videographers, writers, producers and editors. In addition to Sophie’s impressive resume as a director and videographer, Jen has worked extensively in Public Relations and marketing for high profile clients Elvis Presley, The Golden Globe Awards, Moet & Chandon champagne and Wolfgang Puck. Jen knows how to get your horses noticed! Jen has also worked as a Music Supervisor, allowing her to help create a dynamic, beautiful video in terms of both sight and sound.
With Horsefly Films, Sophie and Jen’s passions for and expertise in horses and filmmaking have come together. We have a great eye and a fabulous sense of style, and yes, while we are women, we are physically tough, strong and capable-- just ask Sophie how it was filming her latest documentary in Antarctica, the most extreme location in the world!
Today she enjoys her Paso Fino, Sonador, a wedding gift from her husband. All of Jen’s knowledge and love of horses helps her to create the finest equine videos, no matter the breed.
Sophie grew up in England and her first experience with horses was when her grandfather took her for riding lessons at the local pony club. Sophie was far too wild for the stodgy club set, enjoying galloping her horse with the wind in their hair. When she moved to the US, she was finally able to have a horse of her own and she worked for two years as a trail guide astride her trusty Thoroughbred, Stinger. Today Sophie enjoys dressage, trail riding and just about anything else that can be done from the back of a horse. Sophie recently filmed the famous and extremely rare Marwari horses of Rajasthan India, a unique opportunity to see (and ride!) these incredible horses up close.
